The Spencer Children’s Bell Choir is about to celebrate its 6th year of being together.

It is so hard for me to believe how quickly the years roll by. It has been a special blessing to me to watch these young people grow, and how wonderfully they contribute to blessing this church. They are a dedicated, sensitive group of children that really enjoy the part they play in adding to the Divine Worship hour. They are faithful in practice, generous with each other, and loyal to their commitment to play every other month. I am blessed and impressed and very humbled by them.

Our children are welcome to join the Bell Choir at the age of 3. They usually stay until they are old enough to feel too old (ha). Some of our 9 years olds have been in the choir from day 1. We have had the opportunity to go to other churches and bless them, and are still doing so. We have also encouraged other churches to invest in a set of bells and build their own song library, and we have been willing to loan songs to build variety for their own churches. If anyone would like more information in forming their own Bell Choir, just contact the church and ask for Katie.

Children have few opportunities to serve their church, especially at such a young age. The Bell Choir has provided even our littlest ones a place within the service of the Lord they can call their own. I pray God will always allow these children to make a “joyful noise” for His glory and pleasure.

The Spencer Children's Bell Choir celebrated its second anniversary on May 15, 2004. Director Katie Iacobazzi presented each child with a trophy bell with wings, symbolizing the angelic nature of their ministry.
